        This program features Rossini's comedic overture La scala di seta “The         Silken Ladder," Beethoven’s Eighth Symphony with its light-hearted passages         and Mendelssohn's Violin Concerto. Reiko Niiya's solo completes our fanciful         journey as we spotlight one of thegreatest and most well-known         violin concertos of the Romantic era.

        Featuring Dione Chandler, Principal Oboe, and SWFL Symphony Chamber Chorus

        Rich in soaring strings, this concert features two celebrated Bach works (from         father and son), a dazzling oboe solo and Schubert’s Mass in G with the         angelic voices of theSymphony Chamber Chorus. This is music at its best --         varied, supremely crafted and beautiful in every note.

The Glory of Spring

        Featuring Gene Berger, Principal Horn

        Spring and all its glory is celebrated in this concert featuring music we simply         love. It captures a walk in the Alps on a peaceful early morning, the beauty              of the Appalachians and the spell binding magic of the rain. Mozart’s         irrepressible Horn Concerto features Gene Berger, principal Horn. Embrace,         celebrate and become enchanted as we welcome spring!
