Meet our new maestro! We are overjoyed to announce the appointment of our next Music Director, Maestro ๐‘๐š๐๐ฎ ๐๐š๐ฉ๐จ๐ง๐ข๐ฎ! After an intense search for new artistic leadership that spanned the course of nearly three years, The Southwest Florida Symphony only had to look as far as its neighbor to the south, Naples, to discover who will lead Lee Countyโ€™s crown jewel of arts and culture into the future.

๐ŸŽผ ๐€๐๐๐Ž๐”๐๐‚๐ˆ๐๐†: Beginning this fall, the Southwest Florida Symphony Youth Orchestra and The Heights Foundation (@theheightscenter) are combining our youth ensembles! Through this new partnership, we are now able to offer our programs TUITION FREE.

Last night, we held an โ€œopen houseโ€ performance of Roll and the String Quartet TinyConcert with @andrewlipke at their beautiful facility, where we announced the new partnership, and attended our first free concert together. You can still hear Andrew and the quartet for the next four nights at venues throughout SWFL. A few seats are still available.

The collaboration is beneficial to both institutions in many ways, including sharing educational resources; teachers, curriculum and repertoire, the ability to maintain structure and continuity throughout the program year; and to provide the highest level of instruction possible.

A massive thanks to the foundation and in special part to Melissa Barlow, the Director of Arts and Community Programs, for working with us on this music educational initiative! We are so excited to create music together! ๐ŸŽต

To our Southwest Florida Symphony Supporters and Fans,

We hope this message finds you safe and your homes intact following the effects of Hurricane Ian. We realize in the weeks ahead, your focus is on clearing a literal path to normalcy. Again. However, like every other challenge that has come before us all, especially in recent years, we know this, too, shall pass. And when it passes, your Southwest Florida Symphony is here to deliver the indescribable joy of exceptional live music to you. After enduring downed power lines, splintered trees and insurance claims, donโ€™t we all deserve a little musical joy? When youโ€™re ready to breathe a sigh of relief, we are, as always, here for you to perform the triumphant soundtrack of this beautiful community.

Stay tuned to your inboxes and our website at www.swflso.org/ for details relating to any changes in dates, venues or programming that may be necessary due to storm damage related venue closures.

Thank you for your continued support. We canโ€™t wait to see you at our Season 62 performances.

Musically yours,

Amy J. Ginsburg, Executive Director
Radu Paponiu, Music Director
